Day or weekend workshops can be a wonderful opportunity to learn new techniques, tackle a different subject or try a new medium. All courses have a maximum of ten students (less on my painting breaks to Essex and Cornwall), giving plenty of opportunity for one-on-one tuition.

BOGNOR REGIS

Summer Flowers - Tuesday 8th July

Step into Abstract - Saturday 5th October

Both workshops are studio-based at Bognor Regis, working with collage, texture paste and oil pastel as well as acrylic paint and inks to help you produce bright, bold and exciting work. A good course for beginners and those new to acrylics.

 

SOUTH HILL PARK, BRACKNELL

Painting from your Holiday Photos - Wed 27th August 2008

Inspired after your holidays? Turn your favourite holiday snaps into paintings you can be proud of. Max 10 places, suitable for beginners and intermediates.

Floral Abstracts - Thurs 28th August 2008

A lively workshop using acrylic paints, inks and collage to create vibrant floral-based abstract paintings. Max 10 places, suitable for beginners and intermediates.

Exploring Landscapes - starting Monday 3rd November 2008 (6 weeks)

An ideal short course for beginners and those new to acrylic painting. Each week looks at a different aspect of the landscape with plenty of hints and tips on basic techniques to help you improve. Max 10 places.

 

LERRYN, CORNWALL

Waterways and Secluded Places in Cornwall - learn to paint outdoors during this four-day course based at the Red Store, Lerryn, Cornwall.  Mon 8th to Thurs 11th September.  Max six places only.  ONE PLACE REMAINING ON THIS TRIP

Secret Cornwall 1 and 2 - Tue 21st to Fri 23rd April 2009;  Mon 27th to Thurs 30th April 2009.  Max 6 places on each course. 

 

WATERSHED STUDIO, ESSEX

Essex Creeks and Boats in Oils -  For those wishing to progress in oil painting, particularly improving techniques for painting "en plein air". Ideal for the more experienced painter.  SORRY - 2008 COURSE ALREADY FULL.   2009 DATES:  Tue 11 to Thurs 13 August
