I have always been drawn to big open spaces in the landscape and my work is focussed on capturing the light, space and feeling of each place I paint. Initial ideas usually come from sketching out in the landscape taking time to soak up the atmosphere and observe the changing light, before returning to my Studio to capture the essence of the experience in paint. Inspired in particular by the open beaches of West Wittering and Cornwall as well as the wide expansive views along the North Downs near to my home.

Alongside the courses, I have my own range of artists brushes, using only synthetic fibres, not animal hair and available exclusively from this website. If watercolour/gouache is your thing, I also have a small range of artist gouache, handmade in the UK, again exclusive to the shop on this website.
